This year the RMLA Conference will be held in the stunning Bay of Islands. Made up of over 144 islands, not only is the Bay of Islands renowned for its natural beauty and fun water activities, it's an area that is rich in history and culture. From the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) to the site of the country’s first capital to the oldest licensed premise in the country, the Bay of Islands is the place to ground yourself and learn about the past as we look to the future. 

While here, take advantage of the aquatic playground at your doorstep and visit some quaint seaside towns, experience cruising around the islands to spot some marine wildlife or enjoy activities like boating, fishing, sailing, snorkeling, paddleboarding or kayaking. Head further inland for some tastings at local wineries, see the majestic Puketi Rainforest or soak in the geothermal hot pools at Ngawha Springs. Or take a journey to the past and visit some historic landmarks, walk the Waitangi Treaty Grounds or explore the Stone Store and Kemp House at the Kerikeri Mission Station.
