Marnie Prickett is a Research Fellow in the Department of Public Health, Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka (University of Otago) where her focus is primarily on drinking water source protection. Her academic background is in agricultural science and freshwater ecology. She has worked for the protection and restoration of waterways in council-run environmental education, community planting and monitoring, campaigning with Choose Clean Water, and as a member of government advisory groups on freshwater policy, as chair of the Pāmu (Landcorp) Environmental Reference Group and now as an academic.
