Janette Campbell is an Auckland barrister with more than 30 years’ experience in resource management law. She has represented applicants, requiring authorities, councils, prosecuting agencies, defendants, affected neighbours, and environmental groups in hearings and dispute resolution at every level.
An accredited Independent Commissioner, Janette has chaired hearings on resource consent applications, including through Fast Track processes. Her breadth of experience across the full spectrum of resource management disputes, together with her reputation for clear strategic thinking, led to her appointment in 2024 as Chair of the Government’s Expert Advisory Group on reform of New Zealand’s resource management system.
