Helen Kerr is a Principal at Isthmus with over 25 years’ experience leading award-winning projects across Aotearoa. She specialises in regenerative design with communities at the heart of her work. Helen is project and engagement lead for the Wider Westport Masterplan, a place-based storytelling approach that brings together mana whenua, stakeholders, and the community to plan for climate adaptation and relocation. Her experience spans adaptation planning, town centre and neighbourhood regeneration, and blue-green infrastructure. Helen is recognised for pioneering participatory design processes at Isthmus, enabling communities to co-create adaptive pathways that restore habitats, promote intergenerational wellbeing, and shape safer, more sustainable futures.
