The Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands has been reserved exclusively for conference attendees. Set within 60 acres of subtropical gardens in the Waitangi National Trust Reserve, it is also the conference venue - meaning you can stay close to the action and enjoy an easy start to each day.

If you would prefer to stay closer to the Paihia waterfront, Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Paihia offers a central location with easy access to local tours, restaurants and attractions.

Helpful booking information

  • Rates are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), are quoted per room per night and include 15% GST (Goods and Services Tax).
  • Cancellations or amendments made within 30 days of the intended arrival date may incur full cancellation fees.
  • Credit card details are required at the time of booking and are stored securely in our encrypted credit card portal as a guarantee only; your card will not be charged at the time of booking.
  • All accommodation charges must be settled directly with the hotel prior to departure.
  • In the case of non-arrival or late cancellation, the hotel will be given access to your card details to charge the applicable cancellation fee.
  • If you wish to request an invoice for prepayment from the hotel, please contact Sarah Scott at sarah@conference.nz.
  • If you are booking on behalf of an attendee and wish to charge the accommodation to your organisation or a credit card, please contact Sarah Scott at sarah@conference.nz to arrange this.
  • If charges are the responsibility of a third party (e.g. a travel agent), please provide a letter from the third party outlining the charges to be covered and email this to Sarah Scott at sarah@conference.nz.
  • If the online booking system indicates that your preferred hotel is full, please email Sarah Scott at sarah@conference.nz with your preferred hotel and dates. The hotel may still have availability, however your dates may fall outside the allocated conference room block.
